Yesterday while working at Vineyard Downtown, we got the chance to minister to a homeless gentleman named Steve.  He told us how life had beat him down, and how he had lost everything that he had.  He is now living in a tent, in the woods, down my the river of our town.

It’s so cold, and windy outside right now.  I can’t imagine sleeping out in this weather.  I thought about him all night last night.  Is there more that I can do to help people like him?  It makes me thankful for what I do have, and for my life.  You or I could easily be like Steve.  We must remember to thank God for what we have, and try and help those who are not as fortunate as us.

God, help me remember all those out there who are in the same boat as Steve.  Help me to help them!
